Stop and Start the Volume Manager Daemon
If you deal with UNIX enough, you will have to stop and start the volume manager daemon on more than one occasion.
#/etc/init.d/volmgt stop; /etc/init.d/volmgt start or #/etc/rc2.d/S92volmgt stop; /etc/rc2.d/S92volmgt start or #vold
